There are two universities in Bulgaria that offer Pharmacy in English are Sofia Medical University and Plovdiv Medical University. The study programme lasts for five years and pharmacy students graduate with a Master’s degree.

Pharmacy @ Sofia Medical University

Sofia Medical University is located in the capital of Bulgaria and attracts over 800 students each year. It is known as one of the most prestigious medical universities in Bulgaria and Pharmacy is one of the well-established study programmes at the University. The number of pharmacy students at Sofia Medical University is bigger in comparison to Plovdiv Medical University.

Pharmacy @ Plovdiv Medical University

Plovdiv Medical University is located in the second biggest city in Bulgaria – Plovdiv. The study programme Pharmacy in English at Plovdiv Medical University was introduced only recently so there are currently no graduates of the specialty. However, the equipment is brand new so pharmacy students have a chance to take advantage of a quite modern university facility. Also, as the study programme is new, it is not very famous among international students – this is why if you want to take advantage of rather small groups of students at the University and personal contact with each professor – choose Plovdiv Medical University.
